YOGA TEACHING
The cover provided by the Yoga-Link scheme is précised in the Summary of Benefits and Services sheet we have produced and explained in full ‘insurance-speak’ by the Insurer’s Master Policy wording – copies available on request. The Certificate we issue confirms your cover, and it is this document you may have to show to prospective employers in order to provide evidence of insurance in force.
The Yoga-Link scheme caters for Yoga Teaching at both general and specialised levels, to take account of additional experience and training that focuses upon particular student sectors. If you need cover beyond what is regarded as general Yoga teaching, your certificate will specify the extra cover you have.
If general Yoga Teaching is regarded as standard, what constitutes extra?
You need to tell us if you require cover for any of these:
- Pre-natal and Post-natal Yoga (pregnant ladies in general classes excepted)
- Mother and Baby Yoga classes and/or Infant Massage
- Yoga for Children
- Remedial Yoga or Yoga Therapy for medical conditions including Cancer, Stroke, Heart Disease, Back Pain, ME, MS or any other Chronic Ailments
- Some GP referrals
- Extra Temporary Teaching Overseas (30 days automatically included)
- Complementary Therapies
- Other activities, such as Tai Chi, Pilates, Exercise to Music, Dance, other limited-contact Martial Arts forms
Your classes/sessions are covered anywhere in the UK and temporarily overseas by prior arrangement. There can be implications if you teach from home and you need to ensure that you have the necessary protection for people entering your premises for business purposes. Yoga-Link can be extended for the following if required:
- Temporary Overseas Teaching
- Public Liability Premises Risk
- Guest Tutor and/or Locum cover
If you need cover for any of these additional elements mentioned above, we would be happy to make the necessary arrangements for you and issue a revised certificate where necessary.
